Fifa Estimated to wear the hijab for women's soccer

FIFA is expected to give permission for the use of the hijab in women's soccer after the FIFA Medical Committee said the hijab did not endanger the health of the player. Prohibition of usage of the veil in sepabola conducted in 2007 for health reasons.

The ban could lead to protests from the UN. "I do not think it right to ban veiled women to play football. Policy looks stupid, "said a spokesman for the United Nations for Sport, Wlifred Lemke.

Because of this pressure, in March 2007 the International Football Association Board (International Football Association Board) agreed to lift a ban on headscarves for Muslim footballer. But the final decision will be taken next week FIFA in Zurich.

Earlier, the chairman of FIFA's medical committee Michel D'Hooghe said hijab can cause headaches and neck injuries or too hot. But after doing extensive research it found no threat of injury. That is, the veil is safe to use. If the voting results permit usage of hijab, FIFA will make reasonable rules regarding hijab used to compete.

As is known, in April 2010 FIFA plans to ban the wearing of the hijab in women's soccer at the Olympic London. In fact, other sports such as rugby and taekwondo allow Muslim women to wear the hijab in any competition was held.

Last year, the Iranian women's football team banned from FIFA to take part in Olympic qualifying. They refused to remove the veil before the game starts. As a result of this, the Iranian who was forced to occupy the top position disqualified.
