PSG ready to test United over star

Manchester United star Wayne Rooney is reportedly set to be the subject of an audacious £40million swoop from Paris Saint-Germain.
The big-spending French Ligue 1 outfit have already splashed the cash in the past year with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ezequiel Lavezzi, Thiago Silva, Lucas Moura, Javier Pastore and David Beckham all enticed by the riches on offer from owners, the Qatar Tourism Authority.
And The Times is now claiming that 27-year-old England international, Rooney, could be the man they turn to this summer in a bid to form a dream partnership with Swedish star Ibrahimovic from next season.
Rooney will enter the final two years of his Red Devils' contract after June and the club will have to consider whether to offer him an extension or cash in on the player.
The arrival of Robin van Persie this season and the likes of Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck in the squad could tempt United boss Sir Alex Ferguson into doing something that was once unthinkable and allowing Rooney to leave.
And, if reports that Ferguson is pondering a swoop to take Cristiano Ronaldo back to the club this summer are correct, then Rooney could be sacrificed in order to bring in the cash to fund such a move.
