The Viola confirmed on their website this evening that they have reached an agreement with the Spanish club for the striker, with just personal terms to be settled.
"ACF Fiorentina and Villarreal CF SAD confirm that they have reached an agreement for the transfer of Giuseppe Rossi,” violachannel.tv has announced.
Rossi last played in Serie A in 2007 when he joined Parma on loan from Manchester United.
